The American School of Palestine is licensed by the Palestinian Ministry of Education. The curriculum incorporates the requirements of the Palestinian Ministry of Education into a broader bilingual school-specific curriculum. The primary program is taught exclusively in Arabic and fortified by a strong English language program. The secondary program is an American-style general academic college-preparatory curriculum taught exclusively in English, with Arabic as a second language. Grades five, six, and seven are a transitional period that bridges the Arabic (primary) and English (secondary) programs. Students are prepared for the SAT I and SAT II examinations, which are required for “Tawjihi” equivalency (local twelfth grade certificate) and for the School diploma.
